The audio interview is extraordinary. Your questions give us a chance to see Duncomb in a fuller context in his own words. The facts about the civil war seem less important than his single-minded intention to defend a particular set of values. You can feel the energy shift as the conversation progresses. The stuff he comes around to saying at the end about respecting and loving each other across differences is simply stunning.
